The importance of a mentoring team is to promote, recruit, interview, evaluate the mentoring relationship on a ongoing basis. Your team must be focused and on the same page. The initial part of starting up your team and following through with all their responsibilities may seem overwhelming but once it is up and running it can become a wonderful experience as you see how your involvement has helped a student who was once left behind and now you see a young adult becoming a productive citizen in their community.
